Why Is It Called Bollywood?
Bollywood is a blend of Bombay and Hollywood, but the name has a stranger history than that. It began with a 1932 joke about a Calcutta suburb, slipped into Indian newspapers in the late 1960s and is still resented by some of the biggest stars it describes.
