Editorial & Corrections policy
Last updated 13 October 2026
Everyday Globe publishes explainers on topics from around the world. Our aim is simple: every story should be accurate, clearly written and fair. This page explains how we work.
Sourcing
- We rely on primary and authoritative sources: official statistics, published court judgements and legislation, peer-reviewed research, company and government reports, and established news organisations.
- Where a story depends on specific facts, figures or recent events, we link to the sources in the text so that readers can check them.
- Where evidence is uncertain or experts disagree, we say so rather than presenting one view as settled.
Fact-checking
- Names, dates, figures and quotations are checked against sources before publication.
- Stories on law, health and money are general explanations, not professional advice.
- When a story is significantly revised or expanded with new information, we show an "Updated" date on the article.
Corrections
- If we get something wrong, we fix it promptly. Small errors such as typos are corrected quietly.
- Errors of fact are corrected in the article, and where the change is material we add a note explaining what was changed and when.
- To report an error, please use the Contact page and include the article link and, if possible, a source.
Images
- We use only images we are permitted to use: public domain works and openly licensed images (such as Creative Commons licences from Wikimedia Commons), or our own.
- Every photo is credited in its caption with the creator, source and licence, and has descriptive alt text for screen readers.
Authors and independence
Every story carries a byline linking to its author's page: Kirti Kaliraman or Sushant Kataria. We do not publish paid or sponsored content.
