Everyday Globe is a reading site. We collect as little data as possible, and this page explains exactly what happens when you visit.

No tracking or advertising

We do not use analytics tools, advertising networks, tracking pixels or third-party cookies. We do not sell or share personal data.

Hosting (Vercel)

The site is hosted by Vercel. Like any web host, Vercel processes technical request data, such as your IP address, browser type and the pages requested, to deliver the site and protect it from abuse. This happens under Vercel's privacy policy; we do not use this data to identify or profile readers.

Email newsletter (Buttondown)

If you choose to subscribe by email, your address is sent to Buttondown, the service that stores our subscriber list and sends the newsletter. We use it only to send you new stories. Every email includes an unsubscribe link, and you can unsubscribe at any time.

RSS and feed readers

Our RSS feed is public. If you use the Feedly or Inoreader buttons on the Subscribe page, those services' own privacy policies apply.

Stored on your device

If you switch between light and dark mode, your choice is saved in your browser's local storage so the site remembers it. It never leaves your device.
